What is Nephrotic Syndrome & FSGS?
The NephCure Foundation is made up of patients, their families and friends, researchers, and physicians who join forces to create awareness and generate funding for research. NephCure is the only organization solely committed to seeking a cause and cure for Nephrotic Syndrome (NS) and Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). Our aim is to help science unlock the biological mechanisms that cause these conditions and ultimately find a cure. NephCure helps families come together for support, to become empowered with knowledge, to stay informed, and to work towards finding the answers. NephCure has committed over $6 million towards research in recent years. These research grants are for projects aimed to discover findings that will help doctors and scientists learn more about Nephrotic Syndrome and FSGS.
To provide the up-to-date and comprehensive information on Nephrotic Syndrome and FSGS, NephCure has compiled fact sheets and brochures based on scientific information from the field of Nephrology. This is NOT medical advice, and it is very important that this information not replace medical advice:

How does research help?
Research allows for understanding the causes, providing accurate diagnoses, developing effective treatment plans, and hopefully finding a cure.
How NephCure money is spent:
NephCure has supported some of the best, most collaborative and newest research studies and conferences in the field of Nephrology. Through research and collaboration, the gap in knowledge between the disease and the treatment is closing. Click here to see a chart on how NephCure money is spent.
