How can research help?
The NephCure Foundation has raised over $14 million to fund more than thirty critically needed research studies and collaborative programs, and five conferences, thus directing more awareness in the field of Nephrology to NS and FSGS. Supported by a Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) comprised of some of the most knowledgeable experts in NS and FSGS, The Nephcure Foundation is made up of patients, their families and friends, researchers, and physicians who join forces to create awareness and to support scientists and institutions working to find the cause and cure of these potentially devastating conditions.

Research, which often requires patient participation, informs doctors how to better treat their patients. When doctors are able to identify the cause or the classification of the disease, then they can identify the disease earlier, before it has a chance to progress, they can better predict how the disease will progress, and therefore, they can become better equipped to select the appropriate treatment.

How can research help?
Research, which often requires patient participation, can lead to a better understanding of the causes, provide better diagnoses and more effective treatments, and ultimately help to find a cure.
