NephCure Walk at Camden Yards raises over $10,000

Nephcure Foundation board member and former Orioles VP, Jim Duquette, and his family raised over $10,000 on Saturday, June 13 during their annual NephCure Walk in Baltimore, MD.

Over 50 walkers met at Sliders Bar & Grille for a pre-walk dinner and then all teams walked around the perimeter of Camden Yards to help raise awareness for FSGS and Nephrotic Syndrome.  After the event, the walk teams headed into Camden Yards to watch the Baltimore Orioles play the Atlanta Braves.

The Orioles capped off a night of excitement with an 8-4 win over the Braves. The ticket to the game was included in the walk registration.

The walk was held in honor of Duquette’s daughter Lindsey who was diagnosed with FSGS when she was 2 ½ years-old.

Jim Duquette was thrilled with the walks success, “On behalf of Lindsey and our entire family, we are grateful for the support and number of people that turned out for the walk and attended the ball game. The event was a huge success in helping spread the word about Nephrotic Syndrome and FSGS in the greater Baltimore and Washington DC area."

Special thanks to the Duquette family, Davis family, June family and Welzant family for all of their help and support with the walk!
