NJ Skate-a-Thon Raises Nearly $7K

On Sunday, December 4, 127 people attended the Second Annual Central Jersey Skate-a-Thon at South Amboy Roller Magic, raising $6,700 for The NephCure Foundation in the fight against the kidney disease FSGS and Nephrotic Syndrome.

Dr. Lynne Weiss helped to kick-off the skate-a-thon walk with her encouraging words.  

Food and coffee was donated from local merchants and there was some fantastic raffle items for the participants to win.  The day’s events brought in over $1400.00 for NephCure, with some of the monies raised by Logan Semegram in honor of his brother, Cole, for his Bar Mitzvah project.
