Busy Weekend for NCF Walks

photoIt was a busy weekend for NephCure walkers. Over 200  participants came together to walk more than 10 miles combined and raise over $20,000 in the fight against FSGS and Nephrotic Syndrome.

Walks in Canal Fulton, Ohio, and Pittsburgh, PA, kick started the busy weekend.

A perfect day and community-friendly location, the Canal Fulton walk brought NephCure awareness to the state for a kick-off event for Team Ohio.  A thank you to the Smith and Hiland families for their great work starting the walk.

In the Steel City, over 65 walkers came to a Schenley Park and Team Pittsburgh raised over $8,000 with a variety of activities for participants. Special thanks to the Vats, Bittner, Varma and Kachurick families for their work organizing.

Then, on Sunday, September 25 in Chicago, the sixth annual walk brought together 10 families and over 150 participants, raising over $13,000.  Complete with outdoor grilling, a raffle and silent auction and ample outdoor activities, the walk was a success again this year.  Special thanks to all families involved in planning.
