NephCure Named Official Charity of Two Events

The NephCure Foundation has been named an official charity for 2011 Nautica New York City Triathlon, the Marine Corps Marathon and MCM10K, allowing individuals who want to participate in these events the opportunity to raise money in honor of a patient or family affected by FSGS or Nephrotic Syndrome.

The Marine Corps Marathon and MCM10K

The Marine Corps Historic Half marathon will take place on Sunday, May 15, 2011 and the MCM10K will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2011.  The course for the Historic Half marathon is held entirely within Fredericksburg, VA city limits, beginning and ending at the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center.  During the MCM10K, participants race along the streets of the Nation’s Capital, finishing at the Marine Corps War Memorial. 

2011 New York City Triathlon

On Sunday, August 7, 2011 over 3,000 athletes are expected to partake in the Olympic distance race known as the 2011 Nautica New York City Triathlon.  Through the Hudson River, along Manhattan’s West Side highway, and through Central Park, Nephletes will endure a 1500 meter swim, 40K bike ride and 10K run.  This premiere, New York tri-scene event raises over $1 million through charities.
