2009 SHYC Golf Tournament raises over $30,000
Over 100 people helped raise in excess of $30,000 at the Scituate Country Club in Scituate, MA for the 2009 Scituate Harbor Yacht Club Golf Tournament on Friday, June 12.
The money raised benefits Cole for a Cure and The NephCure Foundation.
The tournament started at 1 p.m. and was followed by a dinner and live auction that featured prizes such as Red Sox tickets and photos, a daylong tuna fishing trip and a private dinner for 10 with Chef Jimmy Burke.
The winning team from the tournament included Steve O'Donoghue, Jay White, Brad Masuret and John Ferrie.
Terence Faherty, who organized the event, said that it was an overall fantastic day with an amazing amount of support. “It was a fun day of golf for a great cause. We were able to avoid the rain and when we returned to the Scituate Harbor Yacht Club we were greeted with a rainbow over the Scituate Lighthouse.”
