Walk
For A Cure
A Great Success!
On Sunday, June 5, 2005, the first ever “Walk for a Cure” took place at the Cinnaminson Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, NJ to support funding for research for the kidney diseases Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and Nephrotic Syndrome.

Walkers for “Walk for a Cure” gathered for the event at 10am. Each walker was asked to contribute $25, which included the registration fee and a barbeque after the walk at the Antosh home. Participants who raised more than a $100 received a t-shirt.

B101, a local radio station, played its hits and many people came to join NephCure on this sunny Sunday. Pledges were set and more than $11,000 were raised!
Claudine Conaway and Lou Antosh, chairpeople of the 5K walkathon, spearheaded the event helping to find a cure for the diseases, which Conaway’s 14-year-old granddaughter, Autumn, and Antosh’s 21-year-old daughter, Chrissy, suffer from.
The proceeds from “Walk for a Cure” will benefit the NephCure Foundation, the only organization solely committed to finding a cure for FSGS and Nephrotic Syndrome.
Thank you to the Lou Antosh, Claudine Conaway, all participants and sponsors who made this walk a special and successful one!
