Night of Comedy 2005
The event was hosted by John and Toni Ferrone whose son Jack suffers from a rare form of Nephrotic Syndrome and has been undergoing treatment for more than 3 years. Several families affected by FSGS and Nephrotic Syndrome came together this night.
Garrett Gurrieri, FSGS patient since age 12, spoke about his situation and his upcoming third kidney transplant. Garrett proudly stated that he has never stopped moving forward and will never give up. He emphasized the need for research to find a cure.
Brad Stewart, member of the NephCure Board of Directors, shared his story with the crowd and explained how FSGS has impacted his daughter’s life. The Stewart’s positive approach on life provided hope to families and their friends in the audience.
The Ferrone’s also thank Stacey Fernandes, whose daughter Ana is dealing with minimal change nephrotic syndrome, and Keyur Patel, a young man suffering from FSGS, for their support of this event!
This year also included a gift auction with more than 75 items donated by various businesses and friends. Comedy was provided by Brothers Management Inc.
