The North Jersey Chapter held its first Step Forward Walk on Sept. 16th, 2007 at the Overpeck Park in Leonia, NJ.  Approximately 50 friends, walkers and volunteers came out to spread awareness of NS and FSGS.   

Coincidentally, also at the park, were other patients and their families, children of transplant patients, and a dialysis nurse from Hackensack University Medical Center, all of whom had not yet heard of the NephCure Foundation.  Walkers were able to share information about themselves and the foundation with their new found friends.

After the walk, everyone was invited to enjoy pizza, refreshments, and some fun games of Frisbee.

A giant THANK YOU goes to The New Milford Deli for donating coffee and sandwiches, and to Roman Pizza and Restaurant for cases of water and pizzas. 

Further, we greatly appreciate the generosity of Terry Machinsky for all of her help obtaining donations.
