The Philadelphia Rodeo and
Fall Festival 2007
The Philadelphia Rodeo and Fall Festival benefiting The NephCure Foundation took place on Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st on the grounds of the Devon Horse Show in Devon, P.AThe gates opened at 1 p.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday. Spectators filled the grounds each day dressed in their best rodeo attire.
Families were invited to partake in pumpkin carving and scarecrow making while children enjoyed sheep riding and pony stick racing. There was great food and live music from three local country bands. Vendors had set up booths throughout the grounds where they displayed their best products for purchase.
Once the rodeo began, guests took their seats and watched the amazing performance which included bull riding, ladies barrel racing, and a performance by “Boot T Boot” an eight-year old local bull rider.
On Saturday, with the conclusion of the rodeo, came the official after party featuring the Philadelphia’s Country Music band Unlikely Cowboy.
A SPECIAL THANKS goes out to Brad Stewart for managing the beer sales, and Melanie Stewart and her sorority, Delta Zeta, for volunteering their time.
Additional THANKS goes to the cadets from Valley Forge Military Academy and all of the families who came out to support a great cause.
