Countdown to a Cure 2007
On Tuesday, November 13, Countdown to a Cure 2007 kicked off at Terrace on the Park, in Flushing Meadow Park, NY. Close to 800 guests attended to honor seven heroes for their contributions to kidney research and The NephCure Foundation as well as their personal efforts to raise awareness and research funds.The night started off in the grand ballroom with opening remarks from Ron Cohen and Michael Levine. Joyce Leonard, Hillary Clinton’s Regional Aid, also gave some opening remarks and read a welcome letter from the Senator.
The event featured a cocktail reception, and the guests were entertained by live and silent auctions that took place throughout the night. The silent auction and raffle expanded over two rooms and included some great prizes.
During dinner, guests enjoyed a video presentation, followed by the award ceremony. The following individuals were honored for their contributions to the advancement of research for a cure for kidney disease:
